The dark red is my first choice, but the “mint” could be a lovely surprise. I see similar styles in other brands so there will be other options if these don’t work. I do NOT want floppy sleeves, embroidery, loose ties…prefer something very simple and these are perfect. I love velvet and think it’s lovely texture can be the star of an outfit without adding much other detail.

I just found and ordered these two velvet button down shirts. We're talking house parties where half the guys will be in their best plaid shirts and a few may have nicer sweaters, and the women will have a bit more variety but still in tunics/leggings, maybe a blazer/jeans look no party dresses or fancy pumps. Despite being a hot summer, the a/c works well, and same goes for the WiFi.I usually have a few parties/events to attend between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Eve, and typically go with a classic and slightly dressy style, but this year I want to do something different, and I'm starting now instead of waiting until the last minute like I usually doįor most of these events a VERY casual style is totally appropriate. A kitchen is available as well, so you can cook your own food, although we didn't have the chance, as the area offers many nice restaurants and bars. The breakfast is rich (coffee, tea, cakes, bread, juices, yogurts, muffins, marmelade, nutella, you name it) and the food is available at any time during the day, which I personally find a nice perk, especially compared to other b&bs where it's usually available only a couple of hours per day. There's also a bike sharing rack literally in front of the house, which is very convenient too (you need to register online on the public transportation website, though) The b&b is crazy clean and tidy, especially the bathrooms literally shine! Definitely one of the best I've ever seen, and it's run by a adorable host, Irina, who was very nice to us and always available for tips and help of any kind.

This lovely BnB is located 5 minutes walking from the subway station of porta romana, which makes it very strategic for visiting the city.
